Balinese batik craft actually started develop around 1970 which was pioneered by one of them by Pande Ketut Krisna from Banjar Tegeha, Batubulan, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali. He applies the batik stamp technique with the help of a manual loom or usually called ATBM on a piece of fabric.
Batik itself has a fairly close relationship with Balinese people for traditional ceremonies or religious rituals. Not only that, the batik fabric itself is usually used to be tied around the waist or headband (Udeng).
